Ball valves have many functions. They are generally used for switching off or adjusting media in pipelines. The three-way ball valve can flexibly cut, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium. The sealing surface of the ball valve is usually in a state of being closed with the spherical surface, so it is not easily eroded by the medium, and the operation is convenient, the structure is simple and compact, and it can be used in working conditions such as water, natural gas, acid, and solvent.


The purpose of the ball valve:


According to the structure, the ball valve can be generally divided into three categories: floating ball valve, fixed ball valve and elastic ball valve. According to the sealing performance, it is divided into hard seal ball valve and soft seal ball valve. The soft seal ball valve has better sealing performance and can achieve zero leakage. It is generally used in normal temperature and normal pressure pipelines with corrosive media, while hard seal ball valves are not only It can be used for normal temperature and pressure, but also for low temperature, low pressure and high temperature and high pressure pipelines.

(1) Floating ball valve

The ball of the floating ball valve is floating and supported by two valve seats. Under the action of the medium pressure, the ball can produce a certain displacement and close to the sealing surface of the valve seat at the outlet end to ensure the sealing of the outlet end. However, if the load of the ball subjected to the working medium is transmitted to the outlet seal, the ball may be deflected when subjected to a high pressure shock. Therefore, the ball valve of this structure is generally suitable for working under normal pressure or low pressure.

(2) Fixed ball valve

The fixed ball valve is named as the ball is fixed. When the valve is closed, the ball valve will not move even after being pressed. The fixed ball valve has a floating valve seat. After the medium pressure, the valve seat moves, so that the sealing ring is pressed against the ball to ensure the seal. Generally, a sliding bearing or a rolling bearing is mounted on the upper and lower shafts of the ball, which can be operated with a small torque and is generally suitable for high pressure and large diameter pipes.

Other common classifications of ball valves, chip ball valves, track ball valves, V-type ball valves, O-type ball valves, cut ball valves, three-way ball valves, four-way ball valves, forged steel ball valves, ash ball valves, anti-sulfur ball valves, eccentric ball valves, thermal ball valves, pneumatic Ball valve, electric ball valve, ferrule ball valve, welded ball valve. The V-shaped ball valve has a shearing effect, and is particularly suitable for media containing fibers, tiny solid particles, slurry, and the like. The three-way ball valve can also be divided into T type and L type. The T-shape enables three intersecting pipes to be connected to each other or cut off one of the channels to split and merge. The L-type is only connected to two pipes that are perpendicular to each other and cannot connect to the third pipe at the same time, mainly for distribution.
